Roadway Electric recently completed the installation of the Safety Corridor signage on the I-10 for Phase I of the initiative, led by the Arizona Department of Transportation, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The Safety Corridor signs alert drivers of the strict enforcement of speeding and other violations in these designated areas. The first corridor is a four-mile stretch on I-10 from I-17 to SR 51 (mile posts 143 to 147). The second corridor is a 23-mile stretch on I-10 from SR 202L (Santan) to SR 187 (mileposts 162 to 185). These two corridors have experienced a high volume of accidents over the years and the State is taking a proactive approach to making these corridors safer for the traveling public.
