Roadway Electric LLC was established in 1990 as a small streetlight and traffic signal contractor. At the time, the construction industry was booming and there was an abundance of competitors for work in town. Roadway Electric strategically pursued projects outside of the metropolitan area to gain a presence in the industry and grow the business, completing projects for agencies in Lake Havasu, Kingman, Yuma, Casa Grande, and Flagstaff. The company also performed off-site work for major developers such as Pulte and Fulton Homes.
In 2007, Roadway Electric was purchased and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pulice Construction, Inc., a heavy civil contractor headquartered in Phoenix, AZ with offices in San Diego, CA and Houston, TX.
Today, Roadway Electric has grown into a full service electrical and signing contractor with a focus on highway, city street, airport, commercial development, utility, and maintenance projects. The company has expanded their services over the last 25 years to meet the demand of new initiatives and technologies, and has become a recognized leader in the industry with an in-house fiber optics facility and dedicated fiber optic experts. Additional in-house services include roadway lighting and signing, traffic signals, loop detector systems, directional boring, red light and speed cameras, airport signing and lighting, streetlight and signing maintenance, and Freeway Management and Intelligent Traffic Systems.
Roadway Electric has successfully completed hundreds of projects statewide ranging from $5K to $10M for state and local government, utilities, general contractors, and private owners. Roadway Electric and its staff members provide experience with alternative delivery methods including Design-Build, Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) and Job Order Contracts. Roadway Electric is currently the Prime Contractor for Arizona’s first traffic signal Design-Build project for the City of Buckeye.
